Statement on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

This journal acknowledges the growing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technologies in academic writing, research assistance, language improvement, data analysis, and scholarly publishing. The use of AI tools must comply with the principles of transparency, academic integrity, accountability, and publication ethics.

Authors may use AI-assisted technologies solely to improve readability, language quality, formatting, or to support non-decisional research processes. However, AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot take responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, or ethical compliance of the submitted work.

Authors are fully responsible for all content generated or assisted by AI tools, including the accuracy of facts, citations, interpretations, and the absence of plagiarism or fabricated information. Any use of AI or GenAI in manuscript preparation must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript, preferably in the acknowledgment section or a dedicated disclosure statement.

The following disclosure example may be used by authors:
“During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [name of AI tool] to assist with language editing, idea organization, or content refinement. All intellectual responsibility, critical review, and final approval remain entirely with the author(s).”

AI-generated content that replaces original scientific analysis, critical interpretation, peer review judgment, or editorial decision-making is not permitted. Editors and reviewers must also maintain confidentiality and must not upload unpublished manuscripts or sensitive data into public AI systems.

This policy is aligned with international publication ethics standards and recommendations from leading indexing and publishing institutions, including Scopus Content Policy and Selection Resources and Elsevier Policy on the Use of AI and AI-Assisted Technologies.
