Archiving Policy

Equality: Journal of Law and Justice is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and security of all published content.


Digital Preservation

The journal utilizes recognized digital preservation systems to guarantee permanent access to its content:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

These systems ensure that journal content is securely archived and remains accessible even in the event of technical failure or journal discontinuation.


Backup and Data Security

  • All journal content (articles, metadata, and supplementary files) is managed through Open Journal Systems (OJS)
  • Regular backups are performed to prevent data loss
  • Data integrity and accessibility are periodically monitored

Permanent Access

  • All published articles are available under open access and can be freely accessed by the public
  • In the event the journal ceases publication, content will remain accessible through archival systems
  • Articles are assigned persistent identifiers (e.g., DOI, if available) to ensure long-term accessibility

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are allowed and encouraged to deposit their work in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Personal websites
  • Subject-based repositories

The following versions may be archived:

  • Preprint (before peer review)
  • Postprint / Author Accepted Manuscript
  • Published version (Version of Record)

No embargo is applied, provided that proper acknowledgment of the original publication in this journal is included.


File Format and Metadata

  • Articles are published in standard formats (e.g., PDF)
  • Metadata is maintained to ensure discoverability and indexing

Policy Review

This archiving policy is periodically reviewed to align with international best practices in digital preservation.
