Equality: Journal of Law and Justice, Volume 3, Number 1 (2026) presents a collection of peer-reviewed scholarly articles discussing various contemporary legal issues, including electoral law, fiduciary guarantee law, corporate governance after cyberattacks, academic freedom, juvenile criminal justice systems, environmental management, social engineering through ETLE implementation, parliamentary ethics, legal philosophy, and educational development from the perspectives of administrative law and fiqh siyasah. This issue features contributions from authors representing one country, Indonesia, originating from several provinces such as East Java, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Bali, Banten, North Sumatra, and West Java. The authors are affiliated with a number of higher education institutions in Indonesia, namely from East Java: Universitas Islam Negeri Kyai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember and Universitas Brawijaya; from the Special Region of Yogyakarta: Universitas Islam Indonesia and Universitas Gadjah Mada; from Bali: Universitas Udayana; from Banten: Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa; from North Sumatra: Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien and Universitas Haji Sumatera Utara; and from West Java: UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Overall, the articles published in this issue demonstrate the significant contribution of legal scholarship in strengthening state governance, protecting constitutional rights, developing public legal awareness, and advancing an Indonesian legal system that is responsive to contemporary social and technological dynamics.
