Author Fees
Equality: Journal of Law and Justice is committed to transparency in publication fees in accordance with open access publishing principles.
1. Fee Policy
The journal applies the following fees:
- Submission Fee: IDR 0
- Review Fee: IDR 0
- Article Processing Charges (APC): IDR 200,000
The APC is charged after the manuscript passes the plagiarism screening (similarity check) and before entering the peer review process.
2. Payment Stage
- Manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening and plagiarism checking
- If the manuscript is declared to have passed the similarity threshold, the author will be notified
- Authors are required to pay the APC of IDR 200,000
- Once payment is confirmed, the manuscript proceeds to the peer review stage
3. Scope of APC
The APC is used to support:
- Initial editorial processing and manuscript management
- Journal system management (Open Journal Systems / OJS)
- Peer review coordination and communication
- Article production (editing, layout, and publishing)
- Website maintenance and open access availability
4. Transparency Principle
The journal ensures that:
- There are no hidden charges in the publication process
- Authors are not required to pay any additional fees beyond those stated
- All fee information is clearly disclosed in accordance with Directory of Open Access Journals standards
5. Editorial Independence
- Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic merit of the manuscript
- Payment of APC does not guarantee acceptance
- All manuscripts are subject to Double Anonymous Peer Review
6. Refund Policy
- All payments are non-refundable
- This includes cases where the manuscript is rejected after the review process
7. Changes to Fees
If there are any changes to the fee policy in the future:
- They will be announced transparently on the journal website
- Changes will not apply retroactively to manuscripts already in process
