Tech: Journal of Engineering Science, Volume 1, Number 1 (2025) presents seven peer-reviewed scholarly articles addressing strategic issues in the fields of engineering and applied sciences, including IoT-based technology, renewable energy systems, environmental engineering, mining studies, and data-driven modeling. All articles in this issue are authored by researchers from one country, Indonesia, representing several regions such as the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Banten, East Java, West Java, and West Nusa Tenggara, and involving contributions from seven Indonesian higher education institutions, namely Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Islam Indonesia, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram. This diversity of regions and institutions reflects the journal’s commitment to inclusive and context-based national engineering research.
