  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Inspirasi: Journal of Education and Culture invites authors to submit high-quality manuscripts in the fields of education and cultural studies. Submitted manuscripts must comply with the following guidelines.


1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under review elsewhere
  • The manuscript must be free from plagiarism (similarity ≤ 20%)
  • Written in English or Bahasa Indonesia
  • Must align with the journal’s focus and scope
  • Submission is conducted via the Online Journal System (OJS)
  • Authors must ensure the manuscript has been anonymized for double-anonymous review

3. Manuscript Structure (Detailed and Mandatory)

1. Title

  • Maximum 15–20 words
  • Clear, specific, and informative
  • Avoid abbreviations and formulas

2. Author Information

  • Full name (without academic titles)
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Email address
  • Indicate corresponding author

3. Abstract

  • 150–250 words, single paragraph
  • Must include:
    • Background
    • Objective

    • Results
    • Conclusion
  • No citations allowed

4. Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords
  • Use relevant indexing terms

5. Introduction

  • Background of the study
  • Problem statement
  • Literature review (state of the art)

  • Present findings clearly

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Paper size: A4
  • Font: Book Antiqua, 11 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.15
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides)
  • Paragraph: First-line indent 1 cm
  • Spacing before/after paragraph: 0 pt
  • Length: 4,000 – 7,000 words

Tables and Figures

  • Must be numbered sequentially (Table 1, Figure 1)
  • Include titles and sources (if applicable)
  • Must be referenced in the text

5. Reference Style (APA 7th Edition – Detailed)

All manuscripts must use APA Style (7th Edition).

In-text Citation

  • One author: (Smith, 2020)
  • Two authors: (Smith & Lee, 2021)
  • Three or more: (Smith et al., 2022)

6. Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submission, authors must ensure:

  • Manuscript follows journal template
  • File has been anonymized (double-blind review)
  • References are complete and accurate
  • Similarity index ≤ 20%
  • Tables and figures are properly formatted

7. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-anonymous peer review involving at least two reviewers.


8. Copyright and License

  • Authors retain copyright
  • Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0)

9. Publication Fee (APC)

  • The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 200,000
  • The APC is paid after passing initial screening (plagiarism check)
  • No submission fee
