Fenomenology Study : The role of Occupational Health Nurses (OHN) in Emergency and Disaster Services, Qualitative Research

Abstrak

Occupational health nurses are part of the professional Occupational Health and Safety workforce, this profession is very rare and is only known in Indonesia with very few courses in bleeding agencies and campuses, even though it has a more guaranteed career and welfare. This research uses a qualitative method which explains the role of OHN in handling emergency conditions in the Company. The resource person consists of OHN practitioners and Nursing Lecturers who teach K3 courses to Nursing students. The questionnaire was distributed in the WhatsApp group because the condition of practitioners at offshore and mining sites has very minimal signal when holding virtual meetings. This research concludes how urgent the K3 course is in humidity and job opportunities for nurses in industry. It is hoped that this research can open the paradigm for nurses and nursing students regarding the scope of job opportunities for the nursing profession in Indonesia.
